Linda Yesline is the girl behind Aster+Sage.
Linda became interested in handbag production while studying industrial design at Rhode Island School of Design. Her initial focus was kitchen storage solutions, but experiments using fabric to form structural containers led to her first handbag designs. Linda's experience with surface design began much earlier in life, with construction paper, scissors and glue. Cutting and pasting greeting cards for family and friends translated perfectly to creating appliqué designs.
Aster+Sage handbags combine quality materials and contstruction with crisp, clean forms and simple graphic patterns. We love using material with recycled content. Recycled means less waste, of course, but there's something exciting about using material that has existed before. Was it a different color? Was it a fabric scrap or a soda bottle?
