Peligrosa focuses on elegant, timeless silhouettes in organic fibers with a modern twist. Cotton styles use exclusively 100% organic cotton, organic trim and natural accessories from their specialized mills in Japan. 90% of the collection is completely manufactured in Japan, from yarn to finished product at Peligrosa partner family owned factories.
In addition to certified organic cotton, the collections utilize organic wool from New Zealand, cashmere, and recycled cotton. The majority of the collection is dyed by hand with natural organic dyestuff and natural mordants. The dyestuff is derived from roots, herbs, fruits and vegetables. Naturally fermented indigo is a signature garment dye. Other garments are dyed using low impact, fiber reactive dyes.
Peligrosa hangtangs are printed on recycled cardboard and printed with soy based inks. Additionally, garments are shipped in bags made from corn and are 100% biodegradable.
Ultimately, children are out future and greatest assets. From plant to animal, and dye to finish, and by being personally involved in every aspect of the manufacturing process, Peligrosa considers future generations and insists upon sustainable and ethical manutfacturing. |
