The Greenloop Story
Greenloop began in 2004 as one woman's endeavor in market based
environmental activism, with the dual goals of using fashion as a
vehicle for environmental change and providing a comprehensive shopping
resource with a certain aesthetic criteria, for those seeking more
sustainable options without sacrificing their sense of style. A fusion
of ethics and aesthetics, style and sustainability, of economics and
environment, with the aim of illustrating that these concepts are not
mutually exclusive.
Greenloop is a style conscious, eco-fashion shopping resource specializing in sustainable apparel and accessories for men
and women, grounded in good design. All brands listed by Greenloop employ a variety of
responsible practices, including: using eco-friendly, sustainable
materials; employing energy efficient and low-impact production;
investing in renewable energy and carbon offsets; and maximizing
recycling and waste reduction. In addition to these practices, these
companies engage in fair trade, support organic agriculture, engage in
sweat-shop free production, protect human rights, and donate to various
environmental non-profit groups through in-kind and financial gifts.
Each of the brands represented on Greenloop has a unique, very
human story of stewardship, creativity, craftsmanship, passion and
vision, operating on the principle of the Triple Bottom Line: People,
Planet and Profit. They are environmentalists, designers, visionaries,
humanitarians, animal rights activists, yogis, artists, musicians,

While we do a lot in terms of environmental and social
responsibility, we are not perfect and do not claim to be so. We
work on improving our business practices and minimizing our
environmental footprint every day. With this in mind, we feel our product mix is a solid step in
the right direction toward a more sustainable way of life. Some
products are made using a portion of "conventional" materials in
addition to more eco-friendly textiles and some are not made
nearby, however, the finished goods we offer are more planet and
people friendly, on balance, than their conventional counterparts:
doing less harm, increasing awareness, increasing demand for more
sustainable fashion and educating all of us along the way. Our selection of well designed, fashion conscious and functional, clothing, bags, belts, footwear, jewelry and gifts gives you the opportunity to vote with your dollar for a
